Were you able to catch the cooking demo on this month’s Livewell? If you missed it, don’t worry! You can view it anytime on YouTube (BPTV) or on the Municipality website or Facebook page. We love seeing the fantastic meals that can be created at the market!
We tend to mention the fresh produce a lot – and who can blame us, its fantastic! But the market has so much more to offer! Some of our favorite buys are the pantry staples – oils and vinegars from the Olive Tap, spices from Kizzle Foods, maple syrup from Lemmon Bros, and honey from Swopes. We use the oil and vinegar to make a fantastic caprese salad and maple syrup as an alternative sweetener in cookies, oatmeal and so much more. One of our favorite easy teriyaki sauce recipes uses honey instead of sugar to make a salty sweet delicious marinade.
We love recipes using market ingredients so much we decided to share our favorites on our website (www.bethelparkfarmersmarket.com). If you have a favorite recipe to share, email us at farmersmarket@bethelpark.net! Our new recipe section is coming soon!
This week the market features our Half A vendors, as well as visiting vendors Kindred Flower Farm, 1:11 Juice Bar, and Stovetop Candles. Our musical guest is Carly Conroy.
Summer is winding down, and this is our last market before school starts – take advantage of the time and make some memories with your family at the market this week!
As always, market vendors are not permitted to sell until 3pm – we love the excitement of the early birds but remind you that we do this to allow all vendors ample time for setup.
We can’t wait to see you there!
