We are more than halfway through the 2023 Market Season! Shoppers can start anticipating sweet corn and other seasonal produce in full swing, plus the anticipation of several market events in the next few weeks. What are some of your favorite new additions this year?

Let’s talk about what is in season in July!  It is one of the best months for Farmers’ Market produce.  Berry season is coming to an end, but you can still expect blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and raspberries.  It is also the beginning of the best watermelon, cantaloupe, peaches, and apricots.  In terms of vegetables, sweet corn, peppers, cucumbers, cauliflower, tomatoes, summer squash, and zucchini are going to be at their very best!

We would love to see what you are buying and making from your market finds.  Feel free to share on our weekly Facebook posts, or email us at farmersmarket@bethelpark.net.

This week features our Half B vendors, as well as visiting vendors Cedar Bridge Botanicals and Elizabeth James Boutique. Phil Baird will be our musical entertainment this week.

Next week (7/25) will be our first CHRISTMAS IN JULY celebration – the market will feature a christmas character, red and green cookies at the Recreation Booth, and of course Christmas decor and carols! Come see what our vendors have to offer!

We are also THRILLED to announce that the Bethel Park Farmers’ Market is now eligible to accept SNAP and EBT benefits. These can be used on any food items at the market, excluding food truck purchases, non food items, pet items, and alcohol. Produce, honey, syrups, breads, jams, cheeses, meats, and more are all items eligible for EBT purchase.

Even better – we are partnering with the FAM (Food Assistance Match) program to multiply the buying power of your SNAP benefits. Stop by our tent for more details, or visit the FAM website.

Just a few reminders – the market has expanded its footprint this season, so there will no longer be parking near the market trailer (instead we are adding additional vendors!) We will still reserve space for four handicapped spaces (located behind the market trailer, near the food trucks), and the lot has plenty of room to park!

As always, market vendors are not permitted to sell until 3pm – we love the excitement of the early birds but remind you that we do this to allow all vendors ample time for setup.

We can’t wait to see you there!
